Vertex Israel Appoints Moshe Shahaf as Managing Partner

Savyon, Israel – March 4, 2002 - Vertex Management Israel, one of Israel’s leading venture capital funds and a member of the International Vertex Group, announced today the appointment of Mr. Moshe Shahaf as Managing Partner.
Moshe Shahaf has held many highly regarded positions throughout his career. Prior to joining Vertex, Shahaf was Partner at Formula Ventures and worked as an investment consultant to Israeli venture funds and investment banks. He served as Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of the DSP Group, RAD Network Device and Wave Systems. Shahaf spent the formative years of his career at National Semiconductor where he held various management and development positions in Silicon Valley, Europe and Israel. Shahaf has a strong operational background and acquired expertise in semiconductor technologies and applications in the fields of digital signal processing, network technology and security.
Moshe Shahaf served as an officer in the Israel Defense Forces and specialized in the field of RF communication. He holds a B.Sc., cum laude, in Electrical Engineering from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology and an MBA, cum laude, from Tel Aviv University.
